VacStat™ detects and informs you when loss of vacuum occurs—when it matters:

• When you need your vacuum interrupter to interrupt the diffuse vacuum arc that results during load currents switching and the high current vacuum arc that results when switching fault currents.
• When personnel are nearby while the circuit breaker attempts to clear the short or overload, but fails to do so because the vacuum interrupter is at air.
• When a crew is re-energizing the breaker that cleared the fault but produced a small leak. Visual inspection does not indicate vacuum loss or leak, and the lineman puts the breaker back into service in an open position, but the bottle does not withstand the voltage and starts conducting.
• When a lineman opens the switch and manually trips the switch or breaker and the interrupter fails to interrupt.

Failure to plan is planning to fail
