VacStat G1 is a loss of vacuum detection device that’s embedded into the vacuum capacitor switch during the manufacturing process. Every VacStat G1 includes:

• Vacuum interrupter with loss of vacuum sensor
• Pair of fiber-optic cables
• Control board

If the vacuum interrupter is at ambient atmospheric pressure, the embedded pressure sensor will block an optical signal to the control board and the vacuum condition status indicator will automatically turn to orange—visually informing the operator that there is a problem. The remote status dry contact will provide a means to send a signal that notifies the user of a problem, and if desired, the electrical operation of the switch will be blocked.
